Probably not. I’m too shy to film a video. Haha, sorry.
Edit: sorry if that sounded rude! If you’re using the Modiva Professional, there are already some great tutorials on Youtube!
Yes, I always see the coat hangers at Costco except the second time I went back to buy another box and they had sold out. I’ve bought three boxes altogether, that’s 150 coat hangers! So, except on the off chance that they run out of stock, they are regularly stocked at Costco. Thanks for the compliments and for reading my blog x
It depends on how much you’re willing to maintain it. Digital perms are pretty high maintenance. When I had one, I could not go to sleep if my hair was wet, or even slightly wet, as I would wake up with terrible looking hair. To maintain my digital perm, when my hair was wet I had to twist it around my finger to give the curls are tighter/bouncier look when dried. I also had to change my shampoo and conditioner to a curl enhancing one and use a deep treatment once week because my hair was dry and a bit damaged. I did like my digital perm and because I got it done overseas, it was a really good price and included alot of treatments and a haircut but I probably would have liked it better if my hair was longer at the time (the hairdresser trimmed my hair too short). Would I get one again? Unfortunately, no. I’ve since discovered curling irons are the way too go. Comparing the curls I can achieve with a curling iron and my digital perm, my digital perm curls were really weak and limp. With a curling iron, you can control the type of curls you want and the results are better, in my opinion. I hope that helps!
I really love my current layout but I’ll try to do something about the font. Thanks for the feedback and reading my Tumblr. Ps. I don’t think that’s being a stalker at all, I do it too.
Thank you! My hair is naturally straight so I use a curling wand to get it looking that way. I use the Modiva Professional 25mm curling wand (which was actually recommended by Voguettes). I don’t use any special products, pretty much just the regular heat protectant and lots of hair spray after I’m done. Some things I found that work for my hair is to let the curls cool for a few minutes, then use the hair spray and after 10-20 minutes, brush them out with a wide toothed comb. If the curls look too fluffy then use some more hairspray. Hope that helps!
Thanks! I got it at Bic Camera in Ikebukuro, Japan. I remember the box said something like ‘For sale in Japan only.’ But I’m sure you could find it online somewhere.
My boyfriend purchased it from Opening Ceremony as a birthday gift. It’s sold out at the moment but keep checking the site. After he purchased mine I noticed it was sold out but when I checked again a few months later, it had come back in stock. They were a special collaboration with Jordan Askill and Opening Ceremony but Violent Green also stocks them. I really like the heart birthstone rings because they are a little more personal and special, also the plain heart ring is a bit thinner. Good luck tracking one down!
You can purchase it from selected chemists, I think Priceline also stocks it. I bought mine from Cincotta Chemist but I just checked and they don’t sell Neostrata anymore.
I started taking the pill for my skin a few years ago and it works so I don’t really need to do much else. Otherwise my routine is pretty simple and consists of:
Morning
Cleanse with QV gentle cleanser or Neostrata facial cleanser PHA 4
Moisturise with Neostrata smoothing lotion AHA 10
Night
Remove make up with Johnsons 3 in 1 cleansing wipes
Repeat the same process as in the morning but use an exfoliating cloth to cleanse
Recently, I also started using Clinique all about eyes before going to bed
I’ve been using the Neostrata smoothing lotion for years and love it. It doesn’t feel oily or greasy on my skin and actually makes it feel more taut and smooth. Some other things I do are use a masque once in a while, my two favourites are Queen Helene mint julep masque or Daiso charcoal face masque. The Queen Helene masque feels really fresh and minty and is good for drying out pimples. Meanwhile the Daiso masque removes blackheads and tightens pores, it is so painful to remove though. I also use blotting sheets often because I’m prone to an oily t zone. Hope that helps!
